home on the range
Home is what you make it.
Living in big city has always had its perks - more opportunities for employment, exciting social activities and a melting pot of different cultures. The shutdown changed all of that! In the city in which I reside, people have fled to neighboring states and other towns seeking open space and fresh air.
Connecting with nature has never been more crucial for our individual well beings and collective mental and spiritual health. On my frequent park walks, I always see something new - an interesting looking bird or a patch of land that resembles a farm.
As humans, we seek to call some place “home”. God has made this time of mandatory solitude, an opportunity for us to rest and reflect. I realized that despite the tragedies, devastations, and chaos that surrounds us, we can look within to find HOME. Even in a metropolis where no buffalos roam nor antelopes play, in your home you can create “skies without clouds all day”. ■
