eagle eye
Be laser-focused on finding your purpose.
Eagles - the greatest predator birds - are known for their keen eyesight, being able to spot their prey from kilometers away. Interesting little fact is that they can also distinguish more colors than humans. I wonder what it must be like to look for what you want, zone in, keep focused, fly towards it, while viewing a beautiful array of hues, and then seizing the day?
I must admit that for most of my life I have procrastinated - allowing fear to stop me from pursuing the things I desire most. Whether that be starting my blog that I hope would be the stepping stone to building my fashion empire or delving into a meaningful romantic relationship that I pray would lead to marriage and a family - I have been anything but eagle-eyed.
This has been an extremely challenging season for me that started months before COVID was a thing. Emotions have run high and sometimes spirits are low. But God continues to push me each and every day, whether or not I want to. I asked God for some things that I must believe He is sharpening me for. Much like the eagle, my job is to keep my eyes on the prize, focused, and waiting for the opportune moment to fly in, while still appreciating the beauty of the process.■
