the good old days never left.
It is often said that time waits for no one - a sentiment that seems relatively easy to understand, yet so hard to practice. For the past three years, time has been my greatest teacher.
Many of us have weathered personal storms or grew through a state of redevelopment and unlearning. Some of our problems even felt like they would never end. It reminds me of a quote by C.S. Lewis: “Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different.”
We often reminisce about the times where life felt better, but sometimes miss the opportunities to create “good old days” in the present. In the book, Through the Looking Glass, the character of Alice asks the white rabbit, “How long is forever?”. He responds, “Sometimes, just one second.” Be a friend of time - never wasting it, but rather always taking advantage. Friends, Happy New Year!■
