concrete jungle

Finding your waterfall among the rocks.

Living in a big city often feels like navigating through a maze and during a pandemic, the experience is far more confounding. Even when outdoors, there is an innate sense that you should be somewhere else than where you are in the moment.

And I suppose to some extent, that notion can be applied to different aspects of one’s life. Finding purpose is such a challenging feat and until discovered, dreams for the future become your anchor for the present.

Our cities are surrounded by concrete and steel structures - cold, tall, and casting shadows. And while the lushness of the jungle is not present, the fortitude and drive of the town’s folk are. Here’s the paradox: in a city that never sleeps, the dreams never end. ■
